° President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve using government-owned Bitcoin from forfeiture proceedings.
° The initiative aims to make the U.S. a leading crypto nation, and strategies to acquire more Bitcoin with no taxpayer cost are underway.
° An estimated 200,000 Bitcoin are owned by the U.S. government; a full audit of digital asset holdings is ordered.
° The Reserve aims to maximize Bitcoin’s value without selling it, likened to a digital Fort Knox.
° A U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile is also established for non-Bitcoin digital assets obtained through forfeiture.
